【内容提要】楚美术是我国上古时期具有南方文化品格的艺术事象。作为上古时期楚人奇异而丰富的美术创造，它以其卓尔不群的创造姿态和原始浪漫主义精神开创了世界上古美学的新视界。本文试图将这一重要美术现象放在上古世界文化视野中去观照，从本土艺术的南北分流的考察和上古艺术的东西对比研究中，发绛其独创一格的创造精神。
【英文摘要】The arts of the Chu State is an antediluvian China's unique phenomenon with
southern culture and artistic styles.The ancient Chu people have created plentiful
and substantial works of the fine arts,which have inaugurated a new era for the
human world with the original romanticism and particular spirits.The article contrasts
this phenomenon of arts to the world antediluvian cultural field.By the research
of the indigenous arts for the dividing the South and the North,and comparison
to the West and the East,the author digs out the special spirits of artistic
features.
